Jarrett Shadday – Chairman

Jarrett began his career in 1990 joining D & D Oil Company in Rome, Georgia. An entrepreneur at heart, he transformed the company from a wholesale gasoline business into a successful retail convenience store chain operating under the name of Cowboys Food Mart.

Cowboys Food Mart started with one store and grew into a chain of 65 high volume, top-tier fuel and convenience stores. The stores were spread across five states (AL, FL, GA, MS, TN). Starting with traditional convenience stores, he added travel centers, 10 car washes, restaurants, and bigger value centers. The value centers combined a convenience store environment, with a dollar store and mini grocery store. The value centers were the only stores of their kind. When Cowboys sold in 2005 it had sales of $500 million and over 800 employees.

As owner operator, Jarrett was involved in all aspects of the business and has extensive knowledge of construction, financing, marketing, management, personnel, accounting, cash flow, proformas, budgeting, as well as contract negotiations with vendors. With an interest in data and analytics, he invests significantly in data, research, demographics, and site analysis when embarking on new endeavors.

Following the sale of Cowboys, he has been involved in various ventures which include becoming a Founder/Director of River City Bank in Rome, GA in 2005, owner of CBSM I and CBSM II real estate holding companies and owned and operated eight express car washes under the name of Wash Me Fast. He has also owned SBS Food, Inc. which involved 12 fast food restaurants. Over time, Jarrett has partnered in several shopping centers with key anchors including Whole Foods, Kroger, Publix, and Sprouts. Along with his many ventures, Jarrett became a majority owner in a 275-unit, multi-family development.

Jarrett and his wife, Holly, reside in Rome, GA, and have five children. He attended the University of West Georgia. They are members of First Presbyterian Church, where Jarrett has served as both an elder and deacon. He currently serves as a director for River City Bank, as well as chairman of the credit committee, and has served on the board of directors of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northwest Georgia for 30 years.
